Dauphine ~ This princess pink is perfectly balanced ~ not too purple, not too peach. It is rawther sophisticated but royally fun!
Versailles Fog is the color of the magical brouillard that rolls through the grounds of the royal estate of Versailles. A princely pale blue, it has an elegant cloak of mystery.
Trianon Cream ~ Fresh from Le Petit Trianon's dairy, this enchanting butter yellow is warm and fresh without being overly familiar!
Gilt ~ This is a golden brown that emulates the antiqued gold gilt work of the Rococo style.
Dalliance ~ A knowing look that last a little too long across the ballroom, a walk in the high-walled garden unchaperoned. This bright lilac is not soon forgotten.
Regency ~ This saturated periwinkle is evocative of the refined romance of the era of Jane Austen and Beau Brummell. Perfect for a stroll in Brighton or taking the waters in Bath.
Rococo Gold ~ When Mister Shockley returned from his Grand Tour, he would go on about this perfect shade of gold he has seen in the summer stanza of the Reggia di Caserta.
Thisbe ~ Le chien de la Reine, Marie Antoinette's last pet was her loyal little spaniel, Thisbe. Only separated by her removal from the Temple to the Concierge, he waited for his mistress until the end.
Courtesan ~ She was beautiful and she knew it. She was strong, proud and in control of herself and all those surrounding her. She was the power behind the throne.
Lonely Angel ~ The man who wandered the stars could never be enslaved to a simple life on Earth, but her soul was a universe unto itself, and he could wander there forever.
La! ~ Kitty smacked the redcoat lightly on his arm with her fan and danced down the promenade, escaping his embrace, her bright yellow chinoiserie shawl slipping from her shoulders.
Libertine ~ The drake darted into his carriage and headed to the Hellfire Club. He read aloud to Juliette from Les Liaisons Dangereuse whilst she fed to him the reddest cherries.
Royal Scandal ~ Princess Haddyr was the King's favorite daughter and the pride of the kingdom. Imagine the horror of the court when she eloped with the most wanted rogue in the land.
Viennese Mint ~ After a stroll through the lonely loveliness of the Schonbrunn Ruins, Elsa returned to her favorite coffee house for a bite of mint chocolate & an Einspänner to warm her hands and her heart.
Usurper ~ The younger prince leaned against the cool marble column, ignored, hating them all. Green with envy, he plotted, he schemed. They would soon see who was fit to be king. So very soon.
Turkey Red ~ Rouge d'Andrinople was brought to the textiles of Europe from India and Turkey in the 1740s. The process was lengthy and laborious, which only made it more desirable. Decadent Turkey Red...
Lady Hamilton ~ Muse to many, lover to legends and confidante to queens, Emma, Lady Hamilton rose to infamy in the shadow of her grand amour, Lord Nelson.
Tuileries ~ The spectre of the lost palace haunts les jardins. This icy blue is the color of the moonlight through the mist of the gardens and was just the shade of Josephine's favorite dress.
Jasper ~ Wedgwood has changed its blue three times throughout the centuries, but this was my favorite. A powder blue famed the world over.
Richelieu ~ So named for l'Éminence rouge, this strong red commands respect. Elegant with just a hint of the cruel power of the Cardinal.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"We originally found Sarah's design on Spoonflower as we were looking for curtain fabric... We asked Sarah to modify the colors to match existing fabric and wall colors of our home. Sarah was very responsive to our requests and created two new color templates that matched perfectly... the results are testament what a great design can do. We wholeheartedly recommend Sarah's designs.
